Product Design Leader based in NYC

I create meaningful experiences with real business impact by rooting decisions in research, data, and business goals. Get in touch or check out some of my work below.

MasterClass
Lead Product Designer, 2021–present

My role is to lead all design efforts for MasterClass at Work, our B2B offering. As the sole enterprise designer when I first joined, I launched growth experiments, built out the complete suite of admin features, and defined the north star learner experience to help MasterClass compete in the learning and development market. Since building the product from zero to one and defining the feature roadmap with my product partners, I currently manage a team of two designers while executing designs for new features.

Northwestern Mutual FactFinder
Senior UX Designer, 2020

Using Northwestern Mutual's planning software, advisors are able to build financial plans for their clients. But there was one major pain point—collecting clients' information to build a comprehensive plan. Advisors learned most of the facts while meeting with their clients in a Fact Finding meeting, but the process of capturing the information caused friction. I led my team in a process to design a digital FactFinder, a new web application, that would facilitate seamless and accurate fact collection during a Fact Finding meeting.

Our digital FactFinder increased adoption of our planning software by over 50% and became a critical tool enabling advisors to support their clients when they couldn't meet in-person.

Northwestern Mutual Investments
Senior UX Designer, 2019

Northwestern Mutual's online investments experience had become long scrolling pages of endless data without context. Worse for our clients, there were no self-service capabilities online, forcing clients to call their financial advisors every time they wanted to move money.

I led my team in a process to design a more relevant, meaningful experience by integrating financial planning to provide context to data and introducing self-service capabilities. Our goals were to instill confidence in our clients that they are working toward their financial goals and empower them to take action.

Within the first two months of launch, 6 million dollars were deposited online, exceeding our target by 10% (without any marketing). Templates and patterns have since been leveraged to several other money movement tasks across the site. Additionally, the new experience received positive feedback from clients and financial advisors alike. The success has led to further funding to expand the development of self-service features.

The Weather Channel
Senior Designer at Moment, 2017

The Weather Channel is the most trusted source and provider of weather data, but they were losing users to native weather apps that provided data more simply and quickly. Our goal was to provide a vision for The Weather Channel flagship mobile application that would not only make the app easier to use, but also differentiate them and deliver on a new brand position. By integrating intelligent, presonalization capabilities and context-aware storytelling, The Weather Channel will deliver a unique platform that empowers its audience and connects people to their world.

Spinrilla
Junior Designer at SFCD, 2015

I redesigned Spinrilla's app for Android devices, which offers a library of free hip-hop mixtapes. My goal was to define a better user experience and app architecture for native Android users. In addition, I focused on elevating the brand while translating it to Google's material design system. The app is currently in the Google Play store and has reached 10 million downloads.
